Better Bladders UTI Clinic
30-50% of women and 20% of men experience a urinary tract infection (UTI) in their lifetime. About a a quarter of these are recurrent.
We appreciate the great burden this poses to the patient and the healthcare system.
Our UTI clinic is an interdisciplinary service with input from Urological Surgeons, General Practice, Microbiology and an Infectious Disease Specialist. We aim to provide a comprehensive service that is personalized to your UTI history and bacterial pathology.
This clinic is best suited for patients who are suffering from recurrent urinary tract infections. As you are seeing a GP a referral is not necessary, however we believe in collaborative practice and with your permission would involve your regular GP in the therapeutic pathway to ensure an holistic approach to your care.
Initial Assessment
A 45 minute appointment with our Better Bladders GP Dr Chong focusing on your UTI history, bacterial history, medication and allergy background which allows us to plan a tailored pathway for you.
We can then implement ongoing support with fast access to treatment with the ability to have a thoughtful prescription for appropriate antibiotics if there is a UTI. Our goal would be to lead you to better health with the most up to date information and therapies available.

- Radiological investigations
Therapy can include:
- Prevention methods – non antibiotic
- Antibiotic prophylaxis
- Antibiotic therapy into the bladder
- UTI Vaccine use
